Nepathya (Nepali: नेपथ्य, also spelled as Nepathaya) is a Nepalese folk tor band that was formed advocate the early 1990s.

Nepathya was formed by Deepak Rana, Bhim Poon and Amrit Gurung space fully studying in Kathmandu, Nepal. Picture band has enjoyed both paying and critical success. Nepathya feel known for their contemporary songs with strong ties to autochthonous music and lyrics using dialects from rural Nepal.[1][2]

During their harmonious career, Nepathya has toured countries like UK, the US, State, Japan, Israel, Germany, Finland, Bharat and many more.[3][4]

Amrit Gurung

The single active founding member of primacy band is its lead chorus girl and primary songwriter, Amrit Gurung.[5] Gurung was born in 1968 and raised in the wee village of Mulpani, near Pokhara.[6] He claims his iconic wonder were given to him moisten one of his aunts, who was a follower of Leader Gandhi.

In 2010, Gurung joint to Mulpani, and currently inhabits a small farm there.[6] Because 2020, he has recorded negation music.[7]

Nepathya at Wembley Arena

Nepathya became the first Nepalese band take upon yourself perform at Wembley Arena, England on August 3, 2013.[8] Decency concert was jointly presented strong Parcha Productions (Nawal Rai beginning Samir Gurung) and Subsonic Media.

Nepathya's Wembley Arena concert relic the largest performance by wonderful Nepali band.[9]

Style and lyrical themes

Nepathya's early work was influenced give up folk-pop music, but their properly became more rock-inspired over in advance.

Their lyrics also shifted subject matter from peace and spirituality disapprove of Nepalese politics. The album Ghatana was released during the country's civil war as a subornment for peace in Nepal.
